"Quite simply, Dempsie Powers has changed my life, for the better, forever!

I started working with Dempsie Powers in February of 2009. My story was a typical one - weight gain over the years, no real plan for exercise, no time to get it done. Then I saw a number on my scale at home that shocked me and I knew I needed help - so I called Dempsie Powers for an orientation on the equipment at the exercise facility at Royal Oaks. I was immediately taken with her enthusiasm and knowledge of physical training, and I signed up for a group of workout sessions. Dempsie Powers didn't just put me on a weight training program - she taught me about nutrition, calories, muscle confusion, etc.

My transformation has been remarkable - I lost almost 30 pounds (although I have put about 10 pounds back on as I gained muscle mass) and have seen a noticeable change in my physical appearance! I now have muscles where I had none before, and never having worked with weights in my life, I am surprised as anyone at the fact that I could develop a physique in such a short amount of time.

My work with Dempsie Powers is far from over - I have found that she can motivate me to lift more or do more reps with the weights than I can do on my own. But I can tell you that this past summer, after only 4 months of working with Dempsie Powers, for the first time in decades, I was NOT the guy who didn't want to take off his shirt at the pool or the beach because I was ashamed of the middle aged gut that I had developed over the years. I was actually proud to take my shirt off, and while I'm not, and never will be, Charles Atlas, I sure am a whole lot better off than ever before in my life! I went to Dempsie Powers three months ago telling her that I needed help with posture, balance,flexibity and strength. She designed a program that a badly over weight 79 year old man could handle. Though I am a work in progess, I can see and feel very measurable results in all areas.
